Tshimo Gardens is a Garden & Lifestyle Centre, Our main line of business in our Nursery, which offer a wide range of plants and landscaping products. Then we have 4 sub-sections : Landscaping, Maintenance, Irrigation and Compost.

Our landscaping section is a well-known company established in 2002, namely Tshimo Landscaping, from Bloemfontein. We have done a few successful contracts in Kathu since 2006, for example the T-Junction Entrance Gardens to Kumba Iron Ore mine, the gardens at Kumba – Occupational Health offices in Sesheng, the gardens at the Wellness Clinic next to Kathu Medi-Clinic, the entrance and Clubhouse gardens atthe Kalahari Country Club and Golf Estate, the Pikkie Pret Nursery School gardens and the High School Kathu gardens.

There are a few steps to follow for a beautiful garden.

Usually the complete process is as follows:

• We visit the client for an initial consultation. During this visit we make sketches, take photos and get the general idea of what the client needsand what the terrain allows. Should you need only a design and will do the implementation yourself, we will quote you accordingly. If the quotation is accepted, we proceed with the design.

• Notes, Photos and other information acquired during the initial consultation is processed in our Design Office. Our Design Office is operated by Paul Visser, Peter Fischer and a team of experienced workers.

• The final Design and a quotation on the implementation of the design is submitted to the client. At this point, the client can either take possession of the design and continue to complete the project themselves, or accept our quotation for the implementation of the project.

• We start with the layout and installation project.

Garden design is performed around the existing building structures and according to the taste of the client. This includes the supply of water features, plants, furniture, pergolas, irrigation systems etc. If specialized items such as Lapa’s, Driveway Paving etc is called for, we will work hand in hand with these companies to complete the project.

Our Irrigation section install manual & computer systems using mostly Hunter products. This section supplied irrigation systems to all the above-mentioned gardens. Normally a tank and pump is needed, due to inefficient water pressure and flow.

Our maintenance section maintain Industrial as well as residential gardens. We maintain most of the gardens we implemented and the results speaks for itself. This section consists of maintenance teams ( 1 – 4 workers ) and spend more time in your garden than most of our competitors.

The Compost section, called THE COMPOST PROJECT, recently became a Partnership between Tshimo Gardens an 6 other partners, who worked on the plant for 4 years ( 3 young black men and 3 black woman) We supply compost to Kumba, but shortly we will have a compost product ready for the public.
